Dear Son,

And so your fascination with all things locomotive continues - about which, mind you, I am not complaining . . . as I have so much invested in them at this point. The following is an excerpt from a conversation we shared this morning.

Y: "Mommy Look!! Mickey Mouse is standing on the tracks!!"
M: "Yes . . . Yes he is Son! What is he doing there?"
Y: [With such a look of pity at me] "He's waiting for the train, MOMMY."
M: "Oh, of course . . . "

We have been incredibly fortunate and blessed in that in your almost three years, you've never really been sick. Until now. A nasty bug has wiped you out. You've been right here all day - and refuse to take off the hat!!!
